It’s not the Taj Mahal, but it’s all mine! Bought and paid for!
Growing up, our family was a family of campers. I loved our camping trips and all the memories. Hanging out with the cousins, campfires, swimming, pie irons. Even the guy who brought his record player down to the park and taught us square dancing. We would run and play until we finally collapsed around the camp fire and then had to drag our tired bodies to the tent. When we got home from the trip, I’d sleep in my clothes, just so could wake up and smell the camfire on my clothes.
Anyway, I’m pretty much the only one of the four kids who camps on a regular basis. And my cot just isn’t going to cut it anymore! I love sleeping in a tent, don’t get me wrong, but as I get older I’m finding that I need a little more comfort. And it seems the older you get, the more things you want to bring. Right now when I go on a week long trip, I fill my GMC Jimmy AND a car top carrier. Next year, I’ll be able to have passengers! (Ahem, Book & family; twin & family)
So, there are a couple small rips in the canvas but we just survived three days straight of rain and it’s still dry. (Well there was a tiny drip, but only after the first twenty four hours straight.) But I am so excited for next year! I have to insure it and get the tags for it. I have to put a hitch on the Jimmy. Then, the inside will be painted and freshened up. It’s going to be the start of some good times.

Awesome! So next year, the kids can sleep with you when we go camping. (And just how many people do you think can fit in your Jimmy? Maybe Tim and I will let the kids ride with you and we’ll have our nice, quiet car to ourselves. LOL)
The kids sure can sleep with us. If Allie will sleep with you in the bigger bunk and Adam takes the table bed, we’ll all fit. Nice and cozy.
I’m not sure about the drinving, though. I don’t know about driving an hour and a half to pick up the kids when the campground is only forty-fiive minutes away….
That is so cool! Looks like a lot of fun.
and no alcolhol!!
