This past week Extreme Makeover was in Holt (lansing) Michigan. I was one of 1500 volunteers who helped throughout the week. Lucky for me, my shift was on Friday, the day of the reveal. It was great. I was there with several coworkers. We were there most of the day, helping take furniture into the house, passing out wather to the crowds and most exciting of all, helping with filming run throughs. There is no doubt in my mind that I will actually make it into the show. There is a point when Ty runs out of the house yelling “I have the keys!” and they have a handful of us staged by the front walk working.

So, when is the unveiling – for all of t.v. land to see?
It is Ty. There was a comment stuck in there somewhere. The guy is like an eight year old with Add. He doesn’t stay still very long. Unfortunately, that is the best pic I got of him. When I first got there, I was walking out of the garage, down the drive, and this guy in a flannel shirt was walking towards me. It took me a few seconds too long to figure out it was him. He was totally alone and no one was screaming his name. (anytime any of the crew came out, the crowd went bonkers.)
The airing is slated for maybe 8 weeks. It will be the ninth episode. (according to Lansing State Journal.) I will definitely let you know.

It’s not for a family I know. But the father worked for a local hospital where he contracted Hepatitis. The show wanted local health care workers involved, which is why Sparrow was so involved.

Hey, one of the ladies on my car seat board was there too! She says “So your sister and I have seen each other. I was with a group of others hidden behind the door when Ty recieved the keys. Was she planting a flower or cleaning the window? I remember those people. She was sneaky and took pics….I didn’t even attempt a camera.”

Wow, you car seat lady knew exactly what was going on. Shanon was planting flowers. My friend’s sister was cleaning the windows. I was closer to the garage sweeping. She’s right, I totally got busted trying to take a picture of the front room. But I didn’t know you couldn’t. My friends and I did take quite a few pics right outside the house, though. They told us we couldn’t take pictures of the house.
